  • Financing amounts to € 7M, this being the highest investment obtained by a MaaS (Mobility as a Service) platform in Spain to date.
  • In addition to becoming an investor, Globalvia stands as a strategic ally for the development of the Meep solution in the United States, Ireland and Chile.

Globalvia, a world leader in the management of transport infrastructure concessions, becomes the new investor in the Spanish startup Meep, specialized in the development of mobility solutions as a service (MaaS).

The incorporation of Globalvia, through its technology and innovation platform Openvia, has meant an increase of € 3M in the previous investment round led by Liil Ventures, increasing financing to €7M and positioning Meep as the MaaS platform with the largest investment to date in Spain.

In addition, Globalvia becomes a strategic partner for the development and implementation of Meep’s mobility solution in the United States, Ireland and Chile, countries in which the startup plans to implement its cutting-edge technology for the deployment of its solution.

A big push to promote multimodal mobility

We are very happy to have the support of Globalvia within Meep and we believe that the relationship will be very fruitful because, after having worked together on several projects, we have seen that we can reach more places and offer better solutions in this way.” says Guillermo Campoamor, CEO of Meep.

Fernando Vallejo, Director of Innovation at Globalvia and Managing Director at Openvia adds: “”Meep is already a reference among MaaS solutions. Its proven capabilities together with our experience in the infrastructure and transport sector will allow us to offer new services to citizens. We want to build the netflix of mobility to be able to move easily and without worrying about the ticket to use.“”

So far, Meep had closed three investment rounds totaling 2.1 million euros, expanding in 4 countries and 8 cities. The new financing represents a great boost for the startup, which allows to continue improving the accessibility of a transport system through a product with a clear objective: to improve people’s quality of life by positioning them at the center, eliminating the need to own a vehicle and offering them a more connected, sustainable and humane mobility.
