We become key players at the XXII ITS Spain Congress!
08-04-2022

On April 26, 27 and 28, the XXII Spanish Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems was held in Madrid, which revolved around the theme: “Deployment of ITS in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan”.

This new edition of the congress has been structured around four main themes -intelligent infrastructure, connected mobility, smart cities and digitization of payment in public transport- and has counted with the participation of the best professionals of different companies that have shared in interesting presentations the latest advances in the sector. Among them, several of our colleagues from Globalvia and Openvia, who have presented some of our projects:

  • Paulo Pereira, Director of Systems and Telematics of Beira Interior, has participated in the “ITS Tunnels” panel to highlight our C-Roads project, developed in the Gardunha Tunnel.
  • Pablo Fernández Vivanco, Innovation and Product Manager at Openvia, has given an interesting talk “Solutions based on microservices for users of toll roads”, in which he has presented the advantages of Slora, our platform for the payment of tolls that already provides service to our users in the US, Costa Rica and Portugal.
  • Luis Coronil, Responsible for Metro de Sevilla Maintenance, he has participated in the “Ticketing for Public Transport” panel, emphasizing Tap&Go in his presentation “Metro de Sevilla Postpaid System”. Our EMV validation system allows access to the pioneering intelligent postpayment in public transport, our Sevillian concession being the first metro in Spain to offer this payment service at the end of the month and which applies the best available rate based on the use made by the traveler.
