We are already part of Madrid Green Urban Mobility Lab initiative!
15-12-2022

On November 29, the first General Assembly of the Madrid Green Urban Mobility Lab took place at the headquarters of the Madrid Municipal Transport Company (EMT), a public-private collaboration initiative created in 2021, whose objective is to position Madrid as an international benchmark in innovation and technology in the mobility sector.

At Globalvia, through our technology and innovation platform Openvia, we have not hesitated to join this project in which the leading institutional and business players and Spanish associations in the sectors that converge in the mobility of the future are part.

Among the 38 business partners, we find companies from sectors such as infrastructure, transport, logistics, energy, technology and academia, which share our firm commitment to innovation as a fundamental part of sustainable mobility in the capital.

Our colleagues, Fernando Vallejo, Head of Innovación, IT and Sustainability of Globalvia and Ángela Montánchez, Head of Growth at Openvia, have been present at this first assembly that has been attended by the Delegate for the Environment and Mobility of the Madrid City Council, Borja Carabante, as well as the Managing Director of the EMT, Alfonso Sánchez.

Madrid Green Urban Mobility Lab is made up of six work sections to address all perspectives of mobility in the city of Madrid.

Four have been created to promote transformation projects focused on the low-emission city, the connected mobility of people, urban logistics and the zero-emission vehicle industry. In addition, two enabling groups have been created, focused both on public-private collaboration and European funds and on training and innovation.

A new alliance that allows us to continue working and collaborating with other partners in the sector to create the mobility of the future together!
