Tranvía de Parla supports women victim of gender violence through the Pepo Project
02-02-2023

Since 2018, our Tranvía de Parla team, a railway concession that Globalvia manages at Comunidad de Madrid, has collaborated with the Pepo Project of the Mariscal Association, a program whose objective is to defend women who suffer gender violence against their aggressors.

Thus, through the delivery and subsequent training of a protective dog, the victims regain their freedom and feel safe again. This is a very special collaboration for our colleagues from Tranvía de Parla because, every year, they give a woman the opportunity to protect herself and feel safe again.

On this occasion, to formalize the annual donation, on January 25, a small meeting was held at our facilities in Parla, attended by Belén Castro, Director of HR, Communication and CSR of Globalvia, Ángel Mariscal, President of the Association Mariscal and our Tranvía de Parla team: Miguel Fernandez Valiño, General Manager of the Concession, Inés Teullet, Financial Director and Toñi Antero, Head of Customer Service at Tranvía de Parla. We also counted on the presence of a beneficiary of the Pepo Project, who attended with her Pepo, a dog given to her in 2021 when it was just a puppy and after having lost her five-year-old dog.

This collaboration is part of the CSR actions carried out by Tranvía de Parla to contribute to the well-being of society. We are delighted to be able to continue collaborating for another year on this project that represents a new opportunity for women affected by gender violence so that they can feel safe again, thanks to their protective dogs, the Pepos.
