The Region of Madrid announced the 2nd
Public Transport Promotion and Sustainable Mobility awards, organised by the
Madrid Regional Transport Consortium on 14 January, recognising the work of 28
organisations and individuals in this area.

Our colleague Luce Padilla, Head of the Tramway Central Control Post since 2006, was awarded
in the category of Public Transport Workers.

This category awards the professional
career of workers such as Luce whose daily work ensures that public transport
in the Region of Madrid is an example of quality and a worldwide reference.

The Councillor of Transport,
infrastructure and housing, Pablo Cavero, presented the awards and to award the various
companies and institutions, the Madrid Regional Transport Consortium took into
account factors such as the scope or effect of the measure, its innovative
nature with regard to its capacity to attract users to public transport and the
degree of the implementation of the initiative.
