Our assets register a positive balance during 2024
19-02-2025

During 2024, the transportation infrastructure sector has continued to evolve in a global context marked by digitalization, the energy transition and resilience against economic and geopolitical disruptions. The rise of sustainable mobility, driven by stricter regulations and technological advances, has redefined the sector’s strategies, while the recovery of tourism and changes in mobility habits have influenced traffic and passenger flows. In turn, market volatility, derived from factors such as inflation, trade tensions and regulatory uncertainty, has conditioned long-term investments and planning.

In this context, the balance of our assets over the past year are a reflection of these dynamics that have impacted the sector globally, although we have continued to grow and consolidate our market position, reinforcing our purpose of building a more sustainable future in mobility.

At a global level, the evolution of our highways has been homogeneous in all the regions in which we are present, registering a positive growth of 2% in 2024 compared to 2023.

The greatest increase in traffic compared to the previous year has been experienced on our highway in Portugal, A23-Beira Interior (+7.3%), followed by our Spanish highways, which have experienced a growth of 3.6% [Concesiones de Madrid (+3.7%),  M407 (+3.6%), ACEGA (+3.5%)]. In LATAM, the 2023 levels have been maintained, highlighting Ruta 27, in Costa Rica, which, despite the intense rains that occurred in October 2024, has achieved a growth of 3.4% compared to the previous year. For its part, in the United States, Pocahontas Parkway maintains its positive trend, with an increase of 3.4%.
