Metro de Sevilla has reached 100 million passengers

Metro de Sevilla, subsidiarie managed by Globalviareached this Tuesday, 24th of May, 100 millions passengers after 7 years of its inauguration and just seven months after reaching 90 million users.

These figures are remarkable due to the continuous growth that has maintained Metro de Sevilla since its opening, the 2nd of April of 2009, with a daily average of 41.407 passengers within these 2.415 days it has been working.

Above all, we have to highlight the excellent results in 2015 and throughout the first quarter of this year which were the first milestone in 2016 for Globalvia.

Metro de Sevilla grew in 2015 almost a 3% in ordinary days comparing to 2014. On Fridays and holiday eves, this percentage is practically tripled, reaching 8.64% and 9.22% on Saturday.

The busiest stations are always Puerta de Jerez, in the city centre, the interchanger station of San Bernardo and Nervión, near by Sánchez Pijuán stadium.

The quantitative growth also joins the qualitative one since, according to the latest Satisfaction Survey, Metro de Sevilla is rated by the users with 8.2 out of 10.

Because of this excellent information, Metro de Sevilla decided to make a celebration according to the achievement, so they delivered an amount of one hundred tickets among all travelers who circulated that day on Line 1.
