On 23th, 24th and 25th of May, ASECAP (European Association of Operators of Toll Road Infrastructures) organized its 44th Annual Congress at the Hotel Intercontinental in Madrid.

The ASECAP Days were the occasion for high-level panelists representing toll road infrastructure operators, as well as other modes of transport, and EU policy makers to discuss sustainability issues related to infrastructure financing, operation, maintenance, safety and the environment, while considering how Intelligent Transport Systems contribute to the achievement of the goals set.

The two-day discussions were marked by technical and political sessions with key information and Q&A about subjects falling under
the responsibility of ASECAP’s different Permanent Committees (COPERs) affecting infrastructure financing, safe movement and smart mobility.

Borja Santamaría, General Manager of M50 Concession and Globalvia representative, opened the discussion panel “Innovative initiatives and projects of toll road operators in Europe“, presenting practical solutions to extend the life of bituminous pavements in Ireland.
