Globalvia Company of the Year Award

Yesterday October 27, Globalvia received the Company of the Year Award by the Chamber of Commerce Canada Spain.

This Award has been granted on the occasion of the entry into the Globalvia shareholding of the Canadian pension fund OPTrust, strengthening the trade and investment relations between Spain and Canada and providing to the Company “a daily incentive in our pursuit of business excellence and social commitment that, undoubtedly, Globalvia carries in its DNA, and we become in one of the companies with more international projection and future of its sector”,  Juan Béjar, President of Globalvia, said.

The award ceremony was carried out under Canada Business Day, organized by the Chamber of Commerce Canada Spain and was attended by the new Canadian Ambassador in Spain, Matthew Levin, the President of the Chamber Canada Spain, Alberto Echarri, the President and CEO of OPTrust, Hugh O´Reilly, and Juan Béjar.

Canada Business Day is the greatest meeting, that annually, is celebrated in Madrid and brings together the business communities with economic and trade interests between Spain and Canada.

The bilateral business opportunities between both countries have increased. The reforms in the Investment Canada Act, as well as improvement in the competitive position of Spain in unit labor costs, place both countries in the focus of interest for trade and investment  exchanges mutual.

It should be pointed out that the Canadian government has announced an investment in infrastructure of up to 120,000 million dollars in the coming years.
