Daniel joined Globalvia in November 2011 as O&M director for the highway and railway Globalvia portfolio assets. After a highly challenging period in which he led the implementation of important changes and new procedures related with management and operation, he was appointed as Railways Director providing significant levels of growth for the company in the last years.

On June 4, 2026, after a career of almost 15 years with the Company, Daniel is appointed as General Director of Grupo Globalvia, a role he combines with his position as Railways Director.

He worked for Cintra from 1997 to 2011. He held the position of Managing Director at the Autopista del Sol (Málaga), C.E.S.A. and was a member of the Board of Cintra’s Chilean companies. Initially, he was Technical Director of the Euroscut Sociedade Concesionaria da Scut do Algarve in Portugal.

He had previously spent a five-year period in the construction sector working for other organizations. After having obtained a degree in civil engineering from the Universidad de Cantabria (1991), he developed his financial grounding at the Instituto de Empresa and the London Business School.
