Carlos Sánchez holds a MSc in Industrial Engineering from Carlos III University of Madrid, in Spain and has extensive international experience in the infrastructure sector.

He joined USS Investment Management Limited in 2022 as an Asset Manager. In this role, he has taken on non-executive board director positions at several USS portfolio companies, including an ocean terminal and a renewable energy company. On November 2023 he was appointed as an advisor for Globalvia.

Prior to that, Carlos worked at an independent infrastructure investment management firm in London, where he held a pivotal position on the board of a waste-to-energy portfolio company. He also took the lead on several portfolio companies, including wind farms, optic fiber networks, and tank-storage facilities across Norway, Sweden, the UK, the Netherlands and the US.

His career began in the Defense sector in Spain, working in supply chain and process optimization. He then moved to Italy to work for Enel in the Strategic Planning team within the Networks and Renewable Energy Divisions.
