On June 5, 6, and 7, the 15th edition of South Summit was held in Madrid, the flagship event for innovation and entrepreneurship that we couldn’t miss.
With our teams from Globalvia, Openvia y Bluenest, we were present at this key event, which, under this edition’s motto “In Motion,” once again brought together key players in the ecosystem: companies, investors, and startups.

Attendees who visited our stand were able to enjoy an interesting discussion with our team to learn firsthand about the progress of our ongoing initiatives, such as NeoRoads and Geomic Cloud, as well as the latest major advances in air medical logistics and the development of Bluenest’s vertiport control center technology.
Our stand displayed a life-size prototype of a locker and a logistics drone.
This year, our stand featured a life-size prototype of a locker where drones deliver merchandise, as well as a drone hovering above it. Additionally, our team offered coffee and nuts to all our visitors.
In addition to this, we have had the opportunity to participate in two interesting panels:
- “Robotics, Mobility & the Skies Ahead” with Daniel Molina, Head of Operations at Bluenest by Globalvia, on the role of automation and air mobility in the transport of tomorrow, highlighting the use case of healthcare logistics in La Gomera.
- “The Road Ahead: Rethinking Mobility for a Sustainable Future”, with Pablo Fernández Vivanco, Innovation and Product Manager at Openvia, which explored how sustainability and innovation are transforming the way we move.
As in previous editions, South Summit held its usual Startup Competition to showcase the most disruptive business ideas in various categories. This time, several colleagues served on the selection committee for the 100 finalist startups and served as judges in their respective verticals.
