Last Tuesday, March 25, the Association for Leadership and Social Advancement, ALAS, a non-profit organization whose purpose is the empowerment of women, celebrated Magenta Night to reward female leadership in Costa Rica.
For this reason, this event was celebrated, in which the efforts of people and organizations in favor of women were recognized, among them two colleagues from our Ruta 27 team.
Thus, Claudio Pacheco, General Manager of Ruta 27, received the recognition of “Ally in favor of equality”, and Yirland Ortega, Head of Administration and Purchasing, was recognized as “Outstanding Woman”, after our team proposed this appointment for being an example of improvement and resilience in her daily life.

Claudio Pacheco and Yirland Ortega, were both granted with special recognition during the Magenta Night.
In his speech upon receiving his recognition, Claudio highlighted: “At Ruta 27 by Globalvia we are aware that actions in favor of equality are not isolated efforts, or the result of only a few people, they require a coordinated strategy with defined goals, which involve both the workforce and company management.”
Claudio also took the opportunity to remember all the efforts carried out by Ruta 27 in this area and that demonstrate the commitment of our team to equal opportunities in all its areas, with the deployment of the measures of the equality plan, the use of non-sexist communication and language in the organization or the gender perspective with which the area of occupational health is focused, among other measures.
In addition, it highlighted the “Safe Space” seal awarded by the National Women’s Institute of Costa Rica and which guarantees that our highway is a safe and secure place for women in the event of any case of abuse or harassment.
