Last Friday, December 15, we successfully closed the purchase and sale agreement to acquire Ashmore‘s entire stake in SF Convias S.A., a 5.4-kilometer highway located in Barranquilla, Colombia.

This corridor, conceived as a project under the concession regime by the district of Barranquilla, aims to provide service to the port’s cargo traffic, while contributing to the decongestion of urban traffic.

The corridor, which began operating in 2014, plans to end its concession period in 2044, with the possibility of a further three-year extension. The infrastructure has two toll plazas and is also subject to payments for availability until 2030, with the District of Barranquilla being the Grantor.

This new acquisition, which responds to our long-term international expansion strategy, represents a very important step by giving us entry into a new country and supports our strategy of continuing to explore projects in Latin America, where we already have consolidated leadership in Chile and Costa Rica.

Currently our Business Development team is working to obtain the necessary authorizations to close the transaction, which we hope to confirm in the coming weeks.

We congratulate the team on this new acquisition, which represents a step forward in our objective of continuing to grow internationally and an important milestone to consolidate our presence in Latin America.
