We are very happy to announce that Marieta del Rivero has been appointed as the new Non-Executive Chair of Globalvia!

Marieta has a brilliant professional career of thirty years of executive experience in telecommunications infrastructure companies and in leading manufacturers of technology and software. He takes over from Juan Béjar, whose term of office expired this year and whose experience, leadership and perseverance have accompanied us for 15 years.

Throughout her career, Marieta has been Global Marketing Director of Telefónica, Marketing Director of Amena (Orange) and Xfera (Yoigo), Deputy General Manager to the Digital Commercial General Manager of Telefónica, CEO of Nokia Iberia, Senior Advisor of Ericsson, Partner of Seeliger y Conde and President of International Women’s Forum Spain.

Marieta is currently an independent director and chair of the Appointments, Remuneration and Sustainability Committee of Cellnex Telecom, a listed Ibex 35 company, as well as an independent director of Gestamp Automoción, where she is a member of the ESG Committee and a trustee of its Foundation. In addition, she holds the Non-Executive Chairmanship of Onivia Telecom and is Chair of its Appointments and Remuneration Committee. She is also a member of the Advisory Council of the Mutual Society of Lawyers and co-president of Women Corporate Directors.

Marieta has a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and an Advanced Management Program from IESE and an Executive Program from Singularity University. She is a certified coach by the International Coaching Federation.

In addition, he has written the book “Smart Cities: a vision for the citizen” (2016) and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association of Directors (AED). The newspaper El Mundo has included her in its ranking of “500 most influential women in Spain” from 2018 to 2023, and Mujeres & Cía selected her among “The Top 100 women leaders of 2018”. She was also named Best Manager 2017 by the Spanish Association of Women Entrepreneurs.
