Globalvia’s Board of Directors has appointed Daniel Quintero Martínez as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Previously responsible for the rail business, Quintero will combine both roles and assume executive leadership of the Group, reinforcing a management model built on deep operational knowledge of the business and extensive experience in the management of transport infrastructure assets.
Following this appointment, together with the recent designation of José Gómez de Barreda as Chairman, Globalvia strengthens its leadership team to focus on operational excellence, value creation across its asset portfolio, and the continued development of its motorway, railway and mobility businesses, all within a framework of stable governance.
As of this month, Quintero succeeds Javier Martín Rivals as the company’s top executive. Martín Rivals’ term has recently concluded after serving as interim CEO over the past year. He now returns to his previous position as Managing Director of Highways and remains one of the eight members of the Executive Committee.

Daniel Quintero joined Globalvia in 2011 following a fourteen-year career at Cintra, where he held a variety of executive positions in Spain, Portugal and Chile. At Globalvia, he has taken on roles of increasing responsibility, first leading the Corporate Operations Department and later serving as Managing Director of the Rail Business Area.
Over these years, he has contributed to the development of Globalvia’s railway business and has played a key role in the integration and evolution of strategic projects for the company. He has also been a member of the governing bodies of several portfolio companies, including Go-Ahead, whose Board of Directors he has served on since 2022, as well as iryo.
A Civil Engineer from the University of Cantabria, Daniel Quintero completed his finance education at IE Business School and London Business School. His career combines extensive experience in the management of concession assets with a strong financial and business perspective.
