On 22 July, we took a new step forward in the management of our assets in Latin America, with the signing and formalization of the Supreme Decree for the development of additional Works on Autopista Costa Arauco.
Representing the concession, the signing was attended by our colleagues Jorge Rivas, Director of Latam Highways, Claudio Barros, Legal Manager of Globalvia Chile, and Moisés Vargas, Managing Director of Autopista Costa Arauco.
This innovative project, whose investment will reach up to €80 million plus operation and maintenance costs, will be fully financed by the State of Chile and executed through the concession company and includes a demanding portfolio of interventions of high structural and technological complexity.

These include the deployment of a sophisticated, high-performance Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) system, designed for public safety. Its network architecture will operate under strict security protocols, interconnecting the cameras without interruption to Police Control Center nodes, plus the concession company’s own Control Center, ensuring zero latency for an immediate police operational response to security incidents.
In addition, major infrastructure works will be carried out, such as improvements to stormwater drainage at strategic points along the road, the construction of a new grade-separated diamond-type interchange, the construction of footbridges and pedestrian circuits, and the construction of emergency evacuation routes in coastal areas, among others.
